Julie Kelly, of Julie Kelly & Associates, and The Family Intervention & Continuing Care Program is an Interventionist specializing in Systemic Family Intervention and recovery from alcohol, drug, co-dependency, depression, and other addictions in the family and the work place.

Family Systemic Intervention presents reality to the family and friends in a caring way that can be the catalyst to recovery. The process includes assessment, family/friend education and support, and referral to appropriate treatment resources. With Ms. Kelly’s assistance as a Continuing Care Coordinator, the family continues to treat these medical conditions and develop the skills to create and maintain a healthy, positive life-style. Since 1992, Ms. Kelly has also specialized in Chemically Dependent Families that are influenced by Inherited Wealth.

A recognized Systemic Family Interventionist, Ms. Kelly offers workshops and seminars on the use of Intervention as a catalyst to recovery. She has also taught at San Jose State University and been a guest lecturer at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda and the University of California at Berkeley. She has appeared on local television and national radio talk shows and has written for national publications. Ms. Kelly has led seminars and workshops throughtout the state for the State Bar of California.

Ms. Kelly was influential in the establishment of the National Task Force on Impaired Professionals for the Employee Assistance Professional Association (E.A.P.A.) and is a founding member of the Association of Interventionist Specialists (A.I.S.). She is a past Chair of the Marin County Advisory Board on Drug Programs. Ms. Kelly brings to this work 18 years of experience in supervising the medical care of orthopedic patients, where she worked extensively with workers’ compensation and Medico/Legal claims.

Prior to specializing in Systemic Family Intervention, Julie Kelly & Associates designed and implemented Employee Assistance Programs for several companies including Swinerton & Walberg and Fireman’s Fund.
